God Good Google – less flue
Google has launched FlueTrends is so amasing – Google’s real power coming to show. They track how people search for flue’s and related terms – and since its live – they are in average 10-14 days ahead of predicting a flue comming your way (only americans for now). THATs the kind of stuff I LOVE – simply conecting the dots…!!!!!!!!
I don’t know why (or thats actually wrong) – but I just love Google so much. I love the search product and use it every day – I love the services and use the spreadsheet every week – I love the business model (they should do a song at every business schools every morning). Enough love to a 450bio USD company.
The Best Cast I Have Ever Seen
I did start my blog in Evans appartment 25th of November 2001 – in Evans apartment – and his magic inspiration and selfconfidence (100% in line with his 100% openness, honesty and genuine self). He was alone – left by fancy smancy investors – and just ran the opperation out of his kitchen. He was negotiating with Nick Denton (moreover) during my stay. (My stay by the way – was setup by the everleading talent spotter Mygdal who got Evan to Reboot 3 (and I was just thinking – what a nerd – whats new about a small easy to sign into CMS for consumers) – and due to the fact that Peter Merholz was out of town (www.PeterMe.com dead link?))
For entrepanuers – or wannaneurs (wanna be entrepanuers)
Listen to this every week – and understand how much its about doing the simple thing, doing the stuff that feels right and NOT DRESSING UP FOR INVESTORS – by over painting the picture. These two guys – Evan and Calacanis (also spotted very very early by Mygdal and sold Weblogs Inc to AOL) are personifications of the BIG NOW THING live (not the next big thing). And Calicanis reference to Sequoia where he is now working – shows the link to the übber self of entrepreneurship Michael Moritz – seeds investor in Google, Youtube…. Full loop would be to have a clear reference to GoTo.com who patented the PPC/Bid model – and gave Google their revenue model…
This was not Pulitzer price writing – but Dear valued reader – its straight from the guts :)
PS. I find it really hard to tag my posts – but Im in fast learning mode – please give me tips.
Integration Aquisitions
Google is integrating all their services to ONE LOGIN, today I was meet with a MERGE ACCOUNTS SCREEN when I visited Orkut, first time this year. And Google had done a VERY smoth integration / same thing happened at Flick where I got the chance to merge my Yahoo account/login – also a VERY NICE JOB. Hurray.
Google Reader
I dont really like the Google reader – I find it “not easy/simple to use” – but I use this GPic video thing a lot Google Reader
Online Video – Google Video
These clips: Octo Eats Shark and Ninja Monkey– is a good entertainment. Google Video is in my opinion a better service then the very hip and VC-topiced Youtube.com
Google Video
Linus and I have a great time watching plane and helicaopter videos – good stuff from Google…
Blogger goodbye ?
I love blogger and feel that I ow this compan something – but despite the insane money involved with mothership Google – the service get moore and more outdated and slow :( – so Im really thinking of leaving. Even more when I see stuff like this from SixApart – and think about how easy it i to do.
Apple skyrocketing
I WONDER (Part II)
Whats Google doing – with all those aquisitions.
Well this turned out easy – since this brilliant blog tell me
Seo By The Sea – lines up all the aqusitions here – and the abstract of that post – must be LOCAL AND MAPS AND MORE CONTEXTUAL. No wonder – thay have the killer revenuestream from ADWORDS and ADSENSE – and hey still have LOCAL + LANGUAGES + LOST OF WORDS COMMING INTO THE MACHINERY TO DRIVE UP THE PRICES + MOBILE… This company has the greatest of all futures – like Alta Vista had back then ;)
Thanx to Morten Wittrock for the link.
